INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The No. 7 Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's soccer team (6-7-4) played at No. 2 Marian University (15-2-2) in the Crossroads League Tournament Quarterfinals on Wednesday, November 6.
Marian jumped on top of the Lady Cougars right off the bat, scoring a goal in the 5th minute of the contest. An own goal in the 26th minute of the match gave the hosts a 2-0 advantage. Marian opened the second half with a goal within the first three minutes, making the score 3-0. MVNU battled for the full 90 minutes, but unfortunately would see its season come to a close by a final of 0-3.
