
Four Lady Cougar Volleyball Players Earn CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. — CoSIDA has announced its 2024 Academic All-District Team, recognizing four players from the Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's volleyball team.
The 2024 Academic All-District Volleyball teams, chosen by College Sports Communicators, honor exceptional student-athletes for their achievements both on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program further acknowledges volleyball standouts across four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
Lyssi Snouffer (SR), Reagan Nuss (JR), Jaelyn Tang (JR), and Abbey Niemesh (SR) of MVNU earned spots on the CoSIDA NAIA All-District Team, recognizing their excellence both academically and athletically.
To qualify for the Academic All-District Team in women's volleyball, nominees must play in 90% of matches or start at least 66%. Liberos, though not statistical starters, are eligible as starters. Undergraduate nominees need a 3.50 GPA, while graduate nominees must maintain a 3.50 GPA in both undergraduate and graduate studies, excluding their first semester. GPAs cannot be rounded, and first-semester transfer students follow specific submission guidelines.
