No. 16 MVNU Sweeps SAU at Home

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. — No. 16 Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's volleyball (27-3, 14-3) completed a clean sweep at home in Ariel Arena against Spring Arbor University (12-14, 6-11) on Saturday, October 2.

Off the jump, MVNU came out hitting strong in the first set against the Lady Cougars of Spring Arbor with 16 kills. MVNU took the opening set 25-15.

MVNU trailed 0-6 to start set two until a kill by Emma Thamarus put the team on the board. MVNU rallied back, and after a back-and-forth battle, came out on top in set two 25-19. MVNU completed the sweep in set three, winning by a score of 25-15.
