Snouffer Reaches 1,000 Career Kills in Five-Set Win at Spring Arbor
SPRING ARBOR, Mich. - No.16 Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's volleyball (19-2, 6-2) resumed conference play on Saturday, September 28, against Spring Arbor University (9-8, 3-5) at the McDonald Athletic Center.
The Lady Cougars faced a grueling five-set battle against Spring Arbor University, where senior attacker Lyssi Snouffer achieved a career milestone as she surpassed 1,000 kills in her collegiate career. Prior to MVNU, Snouffer spent time at Cedarville University and Lee University.
MVNU dropped the first set 22-25 but rallied to claim the next two sets, 25-21 and 25-18. However, they fell to SAU in the fourth set, 19-25. In the decisive fifth set, SAU started strong, taking an 8-5 lead. However, MVNU responded with an impressive 7-point rally, bringing the score to 12-9. MVNU then secured the win, closing the set at 15-11.

The Lady Cougars travel to Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Wednesday, October 2, for a Crossroads League matchup against the University of Saint Francis. The match begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Hutzell Athletic Center.
