No. 22 Lady Cougars Triumph in Five-Set Thriller Against No. 24 Knights
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – The No. 22 Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's volleyball team (16-0, 4-0) won a huge conference matchup over the No. 24 Marian University Knights (12-2, 3-1) on Saturday, September 14 in Ariel Arena.
A thrilling match unfolded as the Lady Cougars and Knights went head-to-head, pushing the contest to a decisive final set. The first four sets between MVNU and Marian ended with scores of 21-25, 25-21, 25-16, and 18-25. In a tightly contested fifth set, tied 7-7 at the halfway mark, the Lady Cougars seized the momentum and secured a significant ranked victory with a 15-12 finish.
