Track & Field Has Two All-Americans at 2024 NAIA Outdoor Championships

MARION, Ind. - The MVNU Men's and Women's Track & Field teams competed at the 72nd annual NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University on May 22-24.

MVNU saw an All-American performance from Tyler Shipley on Friday. Shipley placed seventh overall in the pole vault with a mark of 4.90m. Shipley was also an All-American during the 2024 indoor season.

Lyssi Snouffer competed in the high jump finals and tied for eighth overall with a jump of 1.68m. With her finish, Snouffer would also earn All-American status.

Micah Tuggle also competed on the meet's final day in the shotput and placed 26th overall with a throw of 15.34m. 

Brooke Holloway had an excellent outdoor season, finishing 18th overall with a vault of 3.50m in the finals on Wednesday.

The men's 4x100 relay team, consisting of Liam Near, Jaden Haldeman, Seth McCloskey, and Bryce Wiles placed 25th with a time of 41.46.

The 4x400m relay team of McCloskey, Haldeman, Near, and Isaac Ramseyer placed 16th overall with a time of 3:15.38.

Haldeman also competed in the 400m hurdles, securing 14th place with a time of 53.69.

Connor Williams concluded his career by competing in the 110m hurdles on the national stage, finishing with a time of 15.01 seconds. Williams placed 29th overall.

Mason Hendrickson made history by becoming the first MVNU track athlete to compete nationally in the steeplechase, finishing with a time of 10:03.16. Hendrickson placed 38th overall.
