Women's Track and Field Compete at Ashland Invitational
ASHLAND, Ohio. — The MVNU women's indoor track & field team competed at the Ashland Invitational, hosted by Ashland University on January 20.
Women's Top Performers:
Lyssi Snouffer – Second Place – High Jump – 1.64m
Brooke Holloway – Ninth Place – Pole Vault – 10-08.00
Ellyn Coe – 11th place – 800m – 2:24.37
Coach Gallion's Thoughts:
"This weekend was a great opportunity to compete against some of the top talent in the nation. Ashland hosts a strong meet, and we knew that would give a unique chance to hit some quality marks. Our women's roster is young but is showing the grit and energy that can produce some fun results. Gracelyn Frame and Shyanne Moser both hit PRs in weight throw and we will look for them to continue to build. From the distance crew, Coe had a stellar run in the 800 and anchored our 4x4 team to its season best time. Then to round us out, Kinley Green raced to a PR in the 60 and Elizabeth Potts came home strong for a PR in the 200. This squad gets better every weekend, and this was another awesome opportunity to see where we sit and what we need to work on. Excited to get back to work next week!"
