Women’s Tennis Named a 2024 ITA All-Academic Team
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association ("ITA") announced the 2024 NAIA Women's ITA Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Teams. Academia is an integral aspect of the college tennis experience and adds to the unique student-athlete experience found on college campuses across the nation.
In 2024, 227 NAIA Women's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 33 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's tennis earned the distinction of being an ITA All-Academic Team after meeting the criteria of a 3.2 GPA or above. The team finished with a 3.9 GPA.
MVNU also had seven ITA Scholar-Athletes in Audrey Cochran, Deah Bresson, Emily Allison, Emily Hannah, Emma Harville, Kiersten Winey, and Megan Volrath. In order to be named as an ITA NAIA scholar-athlete, one must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 at the end of the academic year.
