Miller Sets Program Saves Record for Women’s Soccer in CL Quarterfinals

MARION, Ind. - The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's soccer team competed in the Crossroads League Tournament Quarterfinals at Indiana Wesleyan University (14-2-1, 7-1-1 CL) on Wednesday, November 5.

MVNU entered the tournament as the seventh seed and would fall to the No. 2 Wildcats by a score of 0-3. MVNU gave IWU all it could handle in the first half as the teams entered the break tied at 0-0. All IWU's goals came in the last 45 minutes of play.

Despite the loss, senior goalkeeper Hannah Miller made history, becoming MVNU's all-time saves leader. Entering the match, Miller was just five saves shy from tying the mark of 416 saves that was set by Krysti Wilson (2003-2006). Miller finished the match with 11 saves and now sits alone at the top of the record books with 422 saves in her career.

MVNU concludes its season with a record of 8-8-2 and 3-6 in conference play.
