Lady Cougars Fall to No. 17 Wildcats

MARION, Ind. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's soccer team (5-5-4, 0-3-4) played on the road at No. 17 Indiana Wesleyan University (11-2-2, 6-0-1) on Saturday, October 19.

Goals in the 20th and 36th minutes of the match put MVNU away in the first half. The Lady Cougars were unable to get into a rhythm on offense in the 0-2 loss.

Scoring opportunities were hard to come by as MVNU only managed to get off 1 shot in the match against the stout Wildcat defense.

IWU finished with 17 shots. 10 of those attempts were on goal for the Wildcats.

Hannah Miller had 7 saves in goal for MVNU.

IWU won the corner kick battle 7-2.
