MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's soccer team (3-2) hosted the (RV) University of Northwestern Ohio (2-2-2) on Wednesday, September 11.
MVNU got the upset win thanks to a penalty kick from Bekah Blair to get on the board first and Abby Smith's first goal of the season late in the first half with the score tied at one. Smith's goal proved to be the game-winner as MVNU went on to win by a final of 2-1.
