
Lady Cougars Fall to BGSU in Season Opener
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio. - The Mount Vernon Women's Lacrosse Team (0-1) fell to the Bowling Green State University Falcons in their season opener on Thursday, March 24 by a score of 12-6.
The Lady Cougars went into Thursday's game with only one sub after four game cancelations at the beginning of their season. At the half MVNU trailed by a score of 3-5 but came out strong to score three in a row from Samantha Poor, Jessie Kyer, and Ally Walton to start the final 30 minutes of play. The Falcons responded to those goals with a time out and finished the half scoring seven more. The Lady Cougars fought hard through the end of the game, but could not get the ball on offense enough to mount a comeback.
What's Next
The Lady Cougars will re-group with a full week of practices before they take on the Ball State University Cardinals on Saturday, April 2 for their senior day. The draw is set for 10:00 a.m.
