
MVNU Golf Begins Spring Season in Purgatory Intercollegiate
NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's and women's golf teams began their spring seasons at the Purgatory Intercollegiate, hosted by Taylor University on March 21-22.
MVNU's men placed 11th at the event with a total two-day score of 679, while the women placed seventh with a total of 800.
On the men's side, MVNU was led by Will Streby who placed 28th with a total of 163 (81, 82). Carter Hancock tied for 43rd overall with a score of 170 (83, 87), while Michael Hardesty rounded out MVNU's top three with a score of 172 (89, 83).
For the women, Mary Weisburn led the charge with her 22nd-place finish, scoring 178 (85, 93). Devon Carpenter placed 34th overall with a 191 (95, 96) while Ryan Satterfield placed 38th with a tally of 199 (105, 94).

MVNU golf competes in the Midway Invitational on April 7-8 at the Griffin Gate Resort Course in Lexington, Kentucky.
