Roshak Claims First Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Week

JACKSON, Mich. After a strong start to the season, Angela Roshak of the Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's basketball team (1-0) claimed the Crossroads League Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week.

Roshak becomes the first women's basketball player in the Crossroads League to ever win the award. The junior from North Canton, Ohio was a force defensively, finishing with five blocks and four steals in just 19 minutes in the 86-69 win at Cleary. Roshak also grabbed 4 rebounds and finished with 11 points.

MVNU and Roshak return to action on Friday, November 1 at Holy Cross College in St. Joseph County, Indiana.
