MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's basketball team (9-18, 3-14) fell to No.2 Marian University (26-1, 17-0) by a score of 42-72 on Wednesday, February 21 in its last home game of the season. 

 

Inside the Box Score: 

Marian's defense was elite against MVNU as the hosts shot just 25.5% from the floor and 20% (4-20) from three. 

Marian shot 50.9% from the field and 37.5% (3-8) from deep. 

MVNU was outrebounded by the Knights 42-24. Marian turned its eight offensive rebounds into 12 second chance points. 

Marian dominated the paint with 40 points.
