Lady Cougars Beat Lourdes on Homecoming to Keep Winning Streak Alive

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's basketball team (4-0) defeated Lourdes University (1-1) 79-68 on Friday, November 10.

MVNU was in control for the entirety of the game on homecoming as it never trailed.

   

Inside the Box Score: 

MVNU shot 45.0% from the floor and 43.5% from three while also holding Lourdes to just 41.9% shooting and 36.4% shooting from three. MVNU's 10 threes in the game were a season-high.

MVNU was extremely efficient with the basketball as it finished with a season-high 25 assists to just 12 turnovers.

Angela Roshak – Game-high 23 points (9-17 FG, 5-6 FT), 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block.

Megan Weakley – Career-high 16 points (5-10 FG, 4-7 3PT), 3 rebounds. 

Emily Walker – 9 points (3-7 FG, 3-4 3PT), 10 assists, 4 rebounds. 

Noelle Lavery – 9 points (2-8 FG, 4-4 FT), 2 rebounds, 1 assist.

Katie Sprang – 8 points (3-6 FG, 2-4 FT), 4 rebounds, 3 steals, 1 assist.
