
Men’s Volleyball Dominates Aquinas in Three Straight Sets
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's volleyball team (5-17, 3-11 WHAC) was right back in Ariel Arena on Saturday, March 29, for a WHAC conference showdown against Aquinas College (7-16, 2-10 WHAC).
MVNU swept Aquinas in three straight sets, securing a decisive victory. The Cougars started strong with a 25-21 win in the first set and maintained their momentum to take the second set 25-20. MVNU closed the match with a commanding 25-18 victory in the third set, sealing the 3-0 sweep.
Noah Wineberg led the attack with 13 kills on 20 attempts, boasting an impressive .600 hitting percentage. Ethan Cline followed with 8 kills. Daniel Daly added four kills with a .214 hitting percentage. Jackson Bush and Wineberg each delivered two aces from the service line.
Additionally, Hayvin Larison, Austin Kolaczkowski, and Xander Devault each contributed an ace to the team's serving efforts. Defensively at the net, Wineberg was a standout with two solo blocks and one block assist. Daly also made an impact with one solo block, while Bush added a block assist to round out the team's defensive presence.

Men's volleyball is set to travel to Hiram, Ohio, for a non-conference matchup against Hiram College on Wednesday, April 2, at 7:00 p.m.
