
Men’s Volleyball Falls Short Against Saints in Four Sets
ADRIAN, Mich. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene men's volleyball team (4-15, 2-9 WHAC) traveled to Siena Heights University (10-8, 5-5 WHAC) for a WHAC conference matchup on Friday, March 21.
MVNU battled but fell to Siena Heights in four sets. After a tightly contested 28-26 second-set win to even the match at 1-1, the Cougars struggled to maintain momentum. The Saints responded with strong performances in the third and fourth sets to claim a 3-1 victory. The final scores were 21-25, 28-26, 16-25, and 21-25.
In the match, Hayvin Larison led the team in kills with 10 on 17 attempts, finishing with an impressive .353 hitting percentage. Austin Kolaczkowski was the primary playmaker, recording 31 assists, facilitating the offense. Defensively, Tyler Monnin anchored the back row with a team-best 13 digs. Noah Wineberg was the standout at the net, leading in blocks with two solo blocks and three block assists. In serving, Christian Kyer recorded two service aces.
