MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's volleyball team (4-14) took on No. 11 Georgetown College (13-4) at home in Ariel Arena on Thursday, March 20.
In the first set, the Cougars battled back and forth with the Tigers, keeping the score close until midway through. However, Georgetown ultimately took the set, 25-15. In the second set, the Cougars found themselves trailing by one at 16-15, but despite their efforts, they fell short and lost 25-21. In the final set, the Cougars couldn't contain the Tigers, losing 25-20 to end the match.
Daniel Daly and Noah Wineberg each contributed 7 kills, while Tyler Monnin led the defensive effort with 12 digs on the day. Austin Kolaczkowski had 26 assists, 8 digs, and 3 service aces in the match.
What's Next:
MVNU will travel to Adrian, Michigan to take on Siena Heights University on Friday, March 21. The first serve will be at 7:30 p.m.
