
Pilots Sweep Cougars in Ariel
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's volleyball team (3-13, 1-8 WHAC) hosted Bethel University (10-9, 5-4 WHAC) in Ariel Arena on Friday, March 14.
MVNU and Bethel both came out strong. The first set was a tight back and forth battle. MVNU battled hard with the Pilots, but Bethel pulled away late to take set one 26-24. Bethel took the second set 25-21 and then won set three by a final of 25-18 to secure the sweep.
Noah Wineberg led the attack with 12 kills and a .435 hitting percentage. Ethan Cline followed with six kills and had seven digs and three blocks. Hayvin Larison finished the match with four kills and four blocks. Tyler Monnin anchored the defense, finishing with a team-high eight digs. Austin Kolaczkowski had 23 assists and four digs for MVNU in the match.

MVNU will host Goshen College in Ariel Arena on Saturday, March 15. First serve is set for 5:00 p.m.
