Reverse Sweep Leads MVNU to Upset Win Against No.14 Lawrence Tech
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – The (RV) Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's volleyball team (8-2, 6-2) had another WHAC matchup on Friday, March 1 against No.14 Lawrence Tech University (10-2, 6-2).
Lawrence Tech proved strong in the beginning, taking the first two sets by a score of 25-23 each. Mount Vernon was able to quickly take control in the next two sets, fighting its way back by winning sets three and four by scores of 25-19 apiece. The fifth set was a battle between two good teams hungry for a conference win. The Cougars prevailed in the end by a final of 17-15 to secure the reverse sweep inside of Ariel Arena in five.
