Men’s Track & Field Continues Outdoor Season at OSU and Kenyon

COLUMBUS, Ohio. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's track & field team competed in the Jesse Owens Classic, hosted by Ohio State University along with the Duane Gomez Invitational, hosted by Kenyon College on Saturday, April 20. 

 

Jesse Owens Classic Top Performers: 

Mason Hendrickson – 3000m Steeple – Fifth Place – 9:48.99

Marcus Whaley – NAIA B Standard – 400m Hurdles – Sixth Place – 54.20 

 

Duane Gomez Invitational Top Performers: 

Micah Tuggle – Shot Put – Second Place – 15.59m 

Tuggle – Hammer – Second Place – 48.44m

Jonathan Backus – 1500m – Third Place – 4:10.83

Seth McCloskey – 400m – Third Place – 50.82

Gage Wilson – 400m Hurdles – Third Place – 56.26

Sam Swanger – 5000m – Third Place – 15:49.45

 

What's Next: 

The MVNU men's track & field team will compete in the Walsh Tune-Up, hosted by Walsh University on April 25.
