Men’s Tennis Gets Defeated by SSU
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's tennis team was defeated at the Ramser Tennis Courts on Wednesday, October 9 by Shawnee State University by a final score of 3-4.
The match concluded the fall season, but the Cougars will be back in action this spring.
In the third doubles slot, Zane Menzie and Lucas Gray won with a match score of 6-3 over the Bears. In singles, MVNU came ready to play as Menzie (7-5, 5-7, 7-6 (TB 10-8), Blake Boyer (6-0, 6-4), and Ryan Almovodar (7-5, 7-6 (TB 8-6) all finished with wins for the Cougars.
