Men’s Tennis Faces Defeat After Two-Match Series

BEREA, Ohio. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's tennis team traveled to Berea, Ohio to play in a two-match series against the Bishops of Ohio Wesleyan University and Yellow Jackets of Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday, October 5.

This two-match series had a lot of hard-fought battles by the Cougars of MVNU. In the match against OWU, Matt Easter in the second singles position, gave a fight to his opponent, going into a tiebreaker game in his second match. Against BW, Andrew Hare put up a battle in the first singles slot, by playing a tiebreaker game in his first set, then winning it by a score of 7-6. The Cougars fell to OWU with a score of 0-7 and to BWU 0-7.

What's Next

The MVNU men's tennis team will be having its final match of the fall season on Wednesday, October 9 against Shawnee State at home at the Ramser Courts. The first serve will take place at 3:00 p.m.
