Late Goal Forces 1-1 Draw with (RV) Spring Arbor

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's soccer team (4-1-5, 1-0-1) hosted (RV) Spring Arbor University (6-4-1, 0-1-1) at CH4 Stadium on Saturday, September 28.

Trailing 0-1 heading into the final minute of the match, MVNU got a goal from Daniel Martinez off a pass from Aaron Jolly to tie things up. Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the remaining 1:02, resulting in the fifth draw of the season for MVNU.

MVNU 1-1 (88:58) – Martinez (Jolly)

Each team had six shots on goal, with SAU leading in total shots 13-10.

Brayden Pierson started in goal for MVNU and came up with five saves.

Each team had four corner kicks. All four of MVNU's came in the second half of play as it began to put more pressure on the SAU defense.
