MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's soccer team (3-1-4) had a match against the Governors State University Jaguars (3-2-2) on Wednesday, September 18 at CH4 Stadium.
The Cougars had a slow start, trailing 2-0 by halftime. GSU extended its lead early in the second half with another goal, making it 3-0. MVNU began to heat up late in the second half, scoring twice to narrow the gap to 3-2. However, the late offensive push wasn't enough, resulting in MVNU's first loss of the season by a final score of 2-3.
