Men's Soccer Ends in a Draw with Gray Wolves

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's soccer (0-0-2) took on Lourdes University (0-1-1) on Wednesday, August 28 in a competitive, hard-fought matchup.

Despite both teams putting forth a strong effort, the game ended in a 1-1 draw at CH4. The result marked the second consecutive draw for MVNU as it continues its early season campaign.

The Cougars led the Gray Wolves in total shots, holding a 12-9 advantage. The Gray Wolves had the upper hand in shots on goal, 7-6.

Lourdes registered 5 saves, whereas MVNU recorded 6 saves, all of which were made by Julius Blumenauer. At the 85:02 mark in the second half, Blumenauer made an incredible one-on-one save, keeping the game tied at 1-1.
