Boney Named Crossroads League Offensive Player of the Week
JACKSON, Mich. – Keon Boney of Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's soccer team (4-2) was named as the Crossroads League Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, September 12.
The fifth-year senior from Manzanilla, Trinidad and Tobago led the team to a 3-1 win over Shawnee State, along with a 2-0 win against Governors State. Boney was able to find the back of the net in both games. On the week, Boney had six shots, four of which were on goal. Boney has scored for the Cougars in four straight games and has been a key component in the team's four game winning streak.
Boney and MVNU men's soccer return to action in Montgomery, West Virginia on Wednesday, September 13 at West Virginia Tech. Kickoff is at 7:00pm.
