Quire’s Big Day Guides MVNU to Win at Hilbert College

HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's lacrosse team (8-4, 2-3) traveled to New York for a matchup against Hilbert College (1-5) on Friday, April 5.

The first quarter was tied at 2-2 with 2:13 remaining. Following that, MVNU took control, outscoring Hilbert 12-1. Matt Quire's outstanding performance included seven goals and five groundballs for MVNU, playing a pivotal role in the 14-3 victory.

Caleb Sanford - 3 goals and 2 assists.

Brett Townsend - 3 assists, and 4 groundballs.

Bryce Morningstar - 1 goal, 4 assists, and 2 groundballs.

Micah Rex - 3 caused turnovers, 4 groundballs.

Josh Jerome - 2 caused turnovers, 6 groundballs, 1 goal.

What's Next:

MVNU men's lacrosse will next play in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at La Roche University in its regular-season finale on Saturday, April 13. The first faceoff is scheduled for 4:00pm.
