Cougars Get Senior Day Win Over Missouri Valley

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's lacrosse team (7-4, 2-3) had a Heart Conference matchup at CH4 on senior day against Missouri Valley College (0-5, 0-3) on Saturday, March 30.

The Cougars took command from the start, netting 10 goals in the opening quarter. By halftime, they led 17-0. The final score stood at 24-1, marking a dominant performance. The day also served as a special senior day as the program honored eight seniors and three graduate players for their dedication to the MVNU Lacrosse program.

Bryce Morningstar - 2 goals, 3 assists, and 5 groundballs.

Matt Quire - 3 goals and 1 groundball.

Dakotah Marshall - 3 goals and 4 groundballs.

Kaelin Tran - 2 caused turnovers, 4 groundballs, and 1 goal.

Preston Barnes - 3 caused turnovers, 2 groundballs, 1 goal, and 1 assist.

Zach Wigton - 11 for 13 on faceoffs, 10 groundballs, 1 goal, 2 assists.

 

What's Next:

MVNU lacrosse will play next in Hamburg, New York at Hilbert College on Friday, April 5. First faceoff is scheduled for 1:00pm.
