Men’s Lacrosse Wins Season Opener at Hiram
HIRAM, Ohio. – The (RV) Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's lacrosse team opened its 2024 season on the road at Hiram College on Saturday, February 3.
The Cougars had a strong start in the opening quarter, netting four goals compared to Hiram's two. The second quarter showcased MVNU's strong defense, conceding only one goal. Overall, MVNU's defense played commendably, causing Hiram to commit 20 turnovers in the first half. Brett Townsend played a crucial role in enhancing MVNU's offense during the second half, contributing two assists and scoring one goal. The game concluded with MVNU winning by a score of 11-7.
