Cougar Bowling Opens Season at OBC 1

COLUMBUS, Ohio. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's and women's bowling teams opened the 2024-25 season at the first Ohio Bowling Conference Tournament on Saturday, October 5.

The women's team placed 10th overall out of 16 teams with a score of 4355 and the men's team placed 13th out of 17 teams with 4834 points at the end of the day.

Christian Phillips led the men with a 29th-place finish and an average of 192.8. Kobe Green was not far behind, finishing with an average of 187.5, which was good for 34th place. Benjamin Brubaker rounded out the top three for MVNU with an average of 163.5 per game at 50th overall.

For the women, Abigail Larkin led the way, placing 33rd with an average roll of 155. Paige Hicks followed with a 37th-place finish, averaging 151.5 per game. Kenzie Willoughby made her presence felt as she finished 43rd overall with an average of 144.8.

MVNU bowling is back in action on October 19 in the OBC No. 2 in Columbus, Ohio.
