Men’s Bowling Finish as Runners-Up at Crossroads League Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's bowling team competed at the Crossroads League Tournament at Royal Pin Western in Indianapolis, Indiana and finished as runners-up on Saturday, March 4.

The Cougars placed fourth in qualifying to make it to the league semifinal bracket. In the semifinal, MVNU swept No. 1 seeded Marian University to advance to the final and take on No. 3 Huntington University. Huntington would go on to win but it was a good effort by the Cougars.

 

The qualifying scores are listed below:

1. *Marian University - 2,410

2. *Spring Arbor University - 2,329

3. *Huntington University - 2,231

4. *Mount Vernon Nazarene University - 2,164

5.  Indiana Wesleyan University - 2,047

6.  Bethel University - 1,975

7.  Grace College - 1,830

*qualified for tournament round

 

The finish for MVNU is the best for the men in program history. The Cougars will look to build off their runner-up finish in the conference tournament in the years ahead.
