Cougar Bowling Partakes in OBC 4

COLUMBUS, Ohio. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's and women's bowling teams competed at the Ohio Bowling Conference Tournament 4 on Saturday, January 21.

The men's team placed 10th out of 14 team with a total of 4,518 points. The women placed ninth out of 14 with a total of 4,249 points.

Men's Top Performers

Marlin Yarborough led the Cougars, placing 40th overall and scoring 952 points overall throughout the five games.

Jacob Burre was not far behind, finishing the day in 41st place, scoring 951 points for the day.

Luke Jahn wrapped up the top three for the team finishing in 48th out of 129 total bowlers with 921 points.

Women's Top Performers

Ashleigh Westervelt led the Cougars, placing third overall and scoring 983 points throughout the five games. Westervelt was named to the OBC All-Tournament Team due to her terrific performance.

Hannah Vaughn was next for the team, finishing the day in 22nd place, scoring 872 points for the day.

Abigail Larkin wrapped up the top three for the team finishing in 28th out of 114 total bowlers with 865 points.

What's Next

MVNU will compete at the Crossroads League Bowling Tournament 3 on Saturday, January 28 at the Warsaw Bowl in Warsaw, Indiana. The tournament is set to begin at 8:30am.
