
MVNU Holds off Goshen for Crossroads League Road Win
GOSHEN, Ind. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's basketball team (7-1, 2-1) defeated Goshen College (0-9, 0-3) on the road by a score of 96-91 on Saturday, December 2.
MVNU led by as many as 21 points in the ballgame, but the Maple Leafs did not quit. The hosts cut the Cougar lead to 91-88 with 1:12 remaining. Despite the comeback effort for Goshen, MVNU hit its free throws down the stretch to hang on for the win in the end.
