Mitchell Mellert begins his second year as a Sports Information Graduate Assistant at Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 2024-25. A 2023 graduate of MVNU with a degree in Sports Management, Mellert is now pursuing an MBA in Organizational Management.

Mellert is a member of the College Sports Communicators (CSC).

Mellert's duties as a Graduate Assistant to the Sports Information Director are to assist in recaps, statistical scoring, gameday operations, website management and being a gameday announcer. Before starting as the Sports Information Graduate Assistant in 2023, Mellert served as the MVNU Lacrosse Team Manager from 2019 to 2023, acting as the primary Gameday statistical scorer for Lacrosse from 2021 to 2023. Mellert also served as a Student Assistant to the Sports Information Director from 2022 to 2023.
